wansread_hammer.
Think I might have gone one short on the Billy but what a player.
I hope the ground is packed tomorrow to give the probably last West Ham legend a send off
.After almost 800 games playing for us there's no better suited.
Enjoy you're day Billy.

Re: The Bonzo Stand
Yeh, I’m sure the whole ground will be saluting him big time.
And with a bit of luck he might ave brought his boots with him in case the midfield start fucking about.

Thing is.. He will.

As pleased as I am that Bonds is getting the recognition he deserves.. Just makes it all the more sad that Mooro never got to feel the same love in his lifetime.. Its a thing we all feel I'm sure.. Different times and all that..

The one and only thing I credit Sullivan for is looking out for Mooro.

But the fact he had to resort to theh likes of Sullivan for reddies puts us all to shame

Looks like it's the Billy Bonus stand the way they've done the display.

Marvellous to see Bonds and the other players, Alvin did a great job as mc

Great to see how much it actually meant to Bill, and the stroll round the pitch to a standing ovation was genius

Kaiser, totally agree re Alvin.

Real character, would be nice to see him there doing it every match

Re: The Bonzo Stand
Would have been better if a few more players from the 1980 winning side were there, but I have to say Billy looked overawed very emotional which was sweet, obviously having his family there meant a lot to him and the crowd were awesome but it's Billy Bonds what else could they be ?.
Can't lie it got me a bit choked.

Did anyone else have a flashback to 1991 today?

Re: The Bonzo Stand
Spot on DP, Nobes doesn't get the credit he deserves, he's a dying breed unless by some miracle Declan stays with us for his career
Fantastic day, chuffed to bits for Bill and his family

Re: The Bonzo Stand
I must say how well Billy looked today. Think the last time I saw him was on The Boleyn Boys chat on BT Sport when UP was closing down and he was looking a bit (as Billy would say) tired in the face, which wasn't surprising as none of us are getting younger but he looked a picture of health today.

Wonderful to see the emotion as well and that all seems to have been healed with Billy and the Club as I really thought that the Club had driven him away all those years ago.

Re: The Bonzo Stand
Don't the club have at least a 10 minute video of todays honouring of Bonzo?

I can only see a few stills on the official site.

Have you a list of the players who didn't turn up? The Sky coverage of the ceremony was poor and Redknapp junior tried very hard not to mention Bonzo at all. As for Dalglish's daughter, is she shagging someone at the top to keep the weekend gig she is so useless at?

West Ham was perfect yesterday

jack flash 11:15 Sun Mar 3
Re: The Bonzo Stand
The way the Sky commentators talked over it all, mainly about Newcastle, as it was going on behind them, was an utter disgrace
Could they not have spared a few minutes to show a bit of respect for the great man?
Glad I don't subscribe to the cnuts

aldgate 11:17 Sun Mar 3
Re: The Bonzo Stand
When bonzo taps his heart in front of us it means something - honour to be there yesterday to see the great man again

JLAP 11:25 Sun Mar 3
Re: The Bonzo Stand
He looked like he could pull the shirt on again and have a go for us last night. Legend is an over used phrase these days but this man fits the BILL..
